Title: Office Assistant - Fleet
An Assistant Office Manager supports daily operations by handling administrative tasks, managing supplies, coordinating vendors, assisting with facilities, supporting staff onboarding/HR, and helping with budgets and scheduling, ensuring a smooth, efficient office environment alongside the Office Manager. Key duties include ordering supplies, paying bills, organizing records, and helping resolve office issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Facilities: Oversee office maintenance, manage mailroom, reception, and office layout.
- Administration & Finance: Order supplies, manage inventory, pay bills, handle vendor contracts, process invoices, and assist with budgeting.
- Staff Support: Greet fishermen, answer phones, schedule meetings, assist with helping fisherman needs. Arrange transportation, communicate with vendor and corporate office.
- Projects & Reporting: Support managers, run special projects (like events or process improvements), and help with presentations and data entry.
- HR/Personnel: Assist with payroll, maintain employee records, and help implement office policies.

Typical Requirements
- Experience in administrative roles, office management, or related fields.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified applicants must be willing to learn or have:
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Prior office experience with a general understanding of HR and payroll regulations; company is willing to provide in-house training in these areas.
- Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
- Ability to work 12 hours per day, seven days per week, with additional hours during peak seasons.
- Ability to work well independently and with others.
- High degree of integrity and ethics. Proven track record of upholding company policies, enforcing them fairly and consistently, and safeguarding confidential information.
- Ability to maintain professional composure in high stress work environment.
- Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Willingness to work in an office setting in a seafood processing plant.
- Valid driver license to be able to drive the company van.
- Seafood production experience preferred.
